Kaila Lancaster’s essays have appeared in Brevity, Third Coast Magazine, The Pinch, Blue Mesa Review, and elsewhere. She holds a PhD from Oklahoma State University and is a lecturer at Stephen F. Austin State University. She lives and writes in the Piney Woods of East Texas with her dog, Ellie.
